Dining Services Team Member - Seasonal part time through November

Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, assist individuals with special needs, and provide friendly service while maintaining a welcoming dining environment. Set up, maintain, and clean buffet lines, hot food stations, and beverage areas, monitoring food quality and temperatures. Clear and reset tables, sweep and vacuum floors, and organize dining spaces including chairs and entry doors. Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and cookware, then sort and store items properly. Wash, dry, fold, and store linens and rags, and remove trash and food waste. Rotate across meal service support, dining room operations, dishwashing, and sanitation tasks as needed. Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and report equipment maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications
- Alignment with Green Lake Conference Center's mission, values, and commitment to Christ-centered hospitality
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused dining and kitchen environment with changing demands throughout service times
- Willingness to rotate between food service, dining room care, dishwashing, sanitation, and support tasks as needed
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual with a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working around hot surfaces, wet or slippery floors, cleaning chemicals, and food service equipment
- Part-time, and part-time seasonal position, with flexible scheduling based on organizational needs
- Typical work hours are flexible between 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday–Saturday, schedule to be determined based on availability and organizational need
Desired Qualifications
- Previous dining services, hospitality, or kitchen experience preferred but not required — training provided
