Dining Services Manager

Job Summary
Oversee daily front-of-house operations for campus dining locations; supervise, train, coach, and schedule front-of-house staff and student employees; ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction; monitor dining room appearance, cleanliness, and organization; assist with opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and register accountability; support meal periods to ensure efficient service and positive guest experiences; collaborate with culinary and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations; assist with marketing promotions, special events, and campus dining programs; ensure team members follow proper uniform, safety, and service standards; support employee engagement and team development initiatives; prepare operational reports and assist with administrative duties as needed; perform other duties as assigned; extended evening and weekend hours during spring and fall semesters; must meet minimum driver qualifications and may require use of a personal vehicle for university business; Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position; benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement contributions, vacation, holidays, and tuition remission.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- One year of experience in food service, dining, or hospitality operations
- Previous supervisory experience in food service, hospitality, or campus dining (preferred)
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and scheduling (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive on behalf of the University (as applicable)
