Job Summary
The Dining Services Director leads the execution of the signature dining services program for residents, ensuring nutritious, safe, and well-presented meals while maintaining compliance with health regulations. Responsibilities include preparing food for regular and therapeutic diets, managing dining operations and budgets, supervising department staff, ensuring proper sanitation and food temperatures, inventory and equipment maintenance, and contributing to menu development and service quality. The role also involves coordinating with the Executive Director and Director of Dining Services on improvements, participating in workshops to stay current in the healthcare dining field, and upholding the company core values in every interaction with residents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent
- Previous management experience in the food service industry
- Ability to read and write English
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks
- Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends
- Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances throughout the day; tolerate heat from the kitchen
- Must be free of communicable diseases
