Job Summary
Prepare and deliver meals to residents while adhering to diet orders, texture modifications, and menu preferences. Perform food and beverage service in dining areas according to seating charts and resident tray tickets. Maintain kitchen equipment and sanitation standards during scheduled shifts. Assist with care and maintenance of the kitchen environment. Participate in facility and department staff meetings and inservices. Communicate with residents and family members regarding meal service quality. Utilize the electronic timekeeping system as directed and arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Follow the facility dress code, including wearing a name tag at all times. Comply with electronic device policies, Elderwood's mission and values, and HIPAA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
- Prior customer service experience
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- Physical stamina necessary for constant activity
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
