Job Summary
Coordinate meal delivery to patients while ensuring trays are accurate, attractively presented, and aligned with individual diet orders. Open packages, arrange items, and retrieve trays for kitchen transport, communicating feeding assistance needs to nursing staff. Enter food preferences into diet software, perform updates, and deliver between-meal nourishments as required. Act as a liaison between dining services and nursing units, monitoring patient satisfaction, intake, and special requests. Maintain floor stock, manage enteral supplies, and provide written reports following each meal period. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- Ability to push and/or pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least two years of college preferred
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume operation preferred
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication
- Ability to make sound judgments while quickly processing information
- Proficiency in computer and web-based software applications, including the ability to adapt to regular changes in systems and processes
