Dining Services Assistant Mentor

Job Summary
Mentor and train dining team members by orienting new hires, answering questions, and modeling correct procedures across all dining areas. Perform food preparation, portioning, and made-to-order breakfast items while safely operating equipment and serving beverages according to established standards. Deliver resident-ordered and diet-specific meals, manage POS transactions, and ensure strict compliance with sanitation, HIPAA, and regulatory protocols. Monitor logs, maintain a sanitary environment, and facilitate communication during team meetings. Work a part-time 40-hour evening shift at Landis Homes, serving residents, guests, and staff with a positive demeanor and strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum two years' experience in related role
- Certified in Serv-Safe or obtains certification within six months of hire
- Capable of working in various different Dining Services job roles/assignments
- Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
- Adheres to dress code required for role
- Attends in-services and team meetings as required for role
- Demonstrates understanding of the Code of Conduct and abides by its guidelines in all aspects of the job
- Complies with regulatory agency standards and applicable policies and procedures
- Complies with safety and infection control protocols in all aspects of the job
- Adheres to compliance policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and resident and client rights
