Job Summary
Dining Services Aide serves meals, performs dishwashing and cleaning, assists in food preparation, and supports the dining department to assist residents. Responsibilities include serving food, waiting tables, bussing tables, opening/closing dining areas, following sanitation guidelines and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and dining space. Requires a high school diploma and a current Food Handler’s Permit; ServSafe training is beneficial. Experience in food service (1 year preferred) and strong communication, reliability, and ability to work with residents and staff are important. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods; adherence to dress code and kitchen standards is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- ServSafe training is beneficial
- 1 year of food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow safety practices and sanitation guidelines
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work with residents, staff, and visitors
- Ability to adhere to dress code and kitchen uniform requirements
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Demonstrate knowledge of food safety, sanitation, preparation and serving principles
