Job Summary
Perform dining service functions by setting tables, stocking buffets, and serving residents in dining rooms and at catered events. Assist with food preparation, including preparing beverages, salads, and desserts according to recipes, ensuring proper temperatures and timely service. Manage clean-up duties such as bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and removing trash to maintain sanitary conditions. Handle food and supply storage while documenting food temperatures in HACCP logs and tracking product usage. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and reporting requirements for hazardous conditions or equipment defects.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
- Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members
- Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County
