Job Summary
Set up dining rooms, banquet areas, and buffet lines by arranging tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, and place settings per manager standards. Greet residents, visitors, and staff within three minutes of arrival, advise on menus, take orders, and enter them into the Meal Tracker system. Serve meals, prepare drinks, check on diners, and direct service issues to the Dining Room Manager. Clear tables, send dirty dishes to the dishwasher, and clean coffee, tea, and juice machines to ensure compliance with federal and state health regulations. Deliver food items from the kitchen to assigned floors and handle cash transactions at the Café as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months to one year of dining room service
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
- High-quality verbal and written communication ability
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning methods
- Proficiency in the operation of the computer application Meal Tracker
