Job Summary
Dining Service Associate performs dining service functions including setup of dining rooms and at catered events, assisting with beverage, salad, and dessert preparation per recipes, serving residents, stocking buffets, cleaning, and adhering to safety and infection-control procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining proper food temperatures, completing HACCP logs, receiving and storing supplies, following policies and standards, and assisting with documentation. Requires ability to read and follow recipes/diet orders, patient, and resident needs; willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions; and vaccination readiness for Hepatitis A in certain jurisdictions. Preference for previous dining service experience and readiness to work in a part-time capacity at Concordia Village (EverTrue) in Springfield, IL. Benefits and pay range $15.00-$20.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous dining service experience is preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
- Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members
- Must have or be willing to receive Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations)
