Job Summary
Serve residents, guests, and family members in the dining room while maintaining a restaurant-style atmosphere. Set tables per Sunapee Cove standards, manage beverage service, and deliver accurate meal orders after reviewing daily menus. Remove soiled linens and sanitize tables, chairs, and equipment. Communicate resident preferences to the food service director for menu planning. Work closely with the dining room manager to ensure resident satisfaction and foster team cooperation. Available for holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school education
- Must be available to work holidays and weekends
- Physically able to move at least 50 lbs. without assistance
- Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas
- Physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years dining room or restaurant wait staff experience preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
- Able to build positive and strong relationships with employees, coworkers and residents
- Focused and dedicated to provide excellent customer service
- Able to handle multiple jobs and priorities
- Able to delegate and hold staff accountable efficiently and respectfully
