Job Summary
Dining Room Supervisor oversees table service within independent living dining rooms, schedules daily dining room assignments, trains staff, handles complaints with management, and coordinates staff for special functions and large parties; strong Microsoft Office skills and front-of-house supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience in front of house operations in a hotel, restaurant, or club; fine dining experience preferred.
- High school diploma/GED. Courses in Hospitality Management or dining room operations from college or trade school preferred.
- Strong clerical skills with the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Must have strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to display a positive demeanor and energy in a demanding, hectic environment.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work with residents, guests, visitors, families, managers and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
