Job Summary
Provide high-quality meal service and facilitate a gracious environment for residents by accurately taking orders and relaying them to back-of-house staff. Maintain a sanitary, infection-free dining area by sanitizing tables, resetting settings, and vacuuming floors after each meal. Assist with special functions, oversee bistro areas including food presentation and stock supplies, and ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold. Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, and preferences while knowing daily specials and their preparation. Participate in the Quality Assurance Committee as directed and attend all required trainings and meetings. Work full meal service shifts with a schedule to be discussed at interview.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant
