Job Summary
Interview, hire, train, coach, and schedule dining room personnel to ensure efficient operation and high production standards. Greets guests, escorts them to tables, provides menus, and assigns work tasks to coordinate activities for prompt, courteous service. Handle and fix all complaints to insure a great dining experience for residents and guests, while inspecting serving stations for cleanliness and inventorying supplies. Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners. Maintain a high energy level, apply good judgment in understanding instructions, and work toward continual improvement of the overall organization. This full-time role requires 30-40 hours per week from 11am-7:30pm with some shifts scheduled 7am-3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- one to three years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply good judgment in understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Maintains a high energy level and is a self-motivator
- Carries incredibly high standards in their work
- Computer skills (POS, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Billing reconciliation/cash handling
- This position entails standing for long periods of time
- The employee is required to communicate effectively with others
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
- This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens
- The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others
- Occasional travel to different locations may be required
