Job Summary
Conduct daily dining room operations by greeting guests, escorting diners to tables, and providing menus while maintaining high production and quality standards. Supervise dining room personnel through interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling, then assign work tasks to ensure prompt and courteous service. Manage restaurant logistics by scheduling reservations, arranging parties, inspecting serving stations for cleanliness, and inventorying table linens and supplies. Resolve guest complaints immediately to guarantee a positive dining experience for residents and guests. Uphold service etiquette standards and drive continual improvement of the overall organization.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply good judgment in understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Maintains a high energy level and is a self-motivator
- Carries incredibly high standards in their work
