Job Summary
Coordinate culinary and dining activities across Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® Memory Care, Room Service, and Club Room venues, while managing special events and private functions. Provide exceptional management and fine dining training to Front of House employees to uphold service standards and ensure resident satisfaction. Direct, manage, hire, and train kitchen staff under the general guidance of the Executive Chef in accordance with community standards. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management, and at least three years of experience managing Food & Beverage or Front of House in a country club, fine dining restaurant, or upscale senior living environment. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) or more years' experience managing Food & Beverage or Front of House in a country club, fine dining restaurant, and/or upscale Senior living environment
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use all kitchen equipment and utensils (e.g., knives, spoons spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.)
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language in order to direct, manage, hire, and train kitchen staff, complete requisitions, read recipes and communicate with other employees as well as Residents and their guests
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associates in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management or another similar major or Culinary Diploma
- Culinary or Apprenticeship program
