Job Summary
Dining Director oversees two kitchens and two dining rooms delivering breakfast to dinner for up to 210 residents across independent living and assisted living communities. Leads Front of House and Culinary Supervisors, drives departmental goals, budgeting and regulatory compliance, and ensures resident satisfaction, safety, and quality. Maintains working knowledge of dining operations, collaborates with Dietitian on menus and dietary modifications, coordinates with maintenance and other departments, analyzes labor and food costs, and participates in resident meetings and committees. Requires strong leadership, financial acumen, operational judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced senior living environment. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8a-5p with occasional evenings/weekends; compensation is $75,000–$85,000 annually; bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years of leadership experience in dining services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, food service management, culinary management, nutrition, business administration, or related field preferred; associate degree with significant relevant leadership experience may be considered
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in dining services, hospitality, healthcare food service, senior living, or related environment required
- Experience managing budgets, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary teams strongly preferred; experience in senior living or healthcare dining environments preferred
- ServSafe certification (or equivalent food safety certification) preferred or willingness to obtain within an employer-designated timeframe
