Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day food service operations for the community by creating written recipes, developing menus and special meals for residents, and managing all kitchen personnel and cooking stations. Direct talent development through hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions while ensuring costs are allocated correctly and the kitchen budget aligns with expectations. Maintain vendor relationships and ensure high-volume production standards are met. Requires a Bachelor's degree in hospitality or culinary, three to five years of food service experience, and ServSafe certification. Flexible schedule required.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience from food service operations
- Sanitation Certified (ServSafe) or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- High volume production and catering experience
- Previous experience in menu development
- Knowledge of budgets, food and labor costs and inventory control
- Strong organizational, leadership, coaching and training skills
- Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and work demands
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, at times
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or culinary preferred
