Job Summary
Dining Attendant provides wait staff service in dining rooms and catering events, entering orders into POS, delivering meals, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. The role includes set-up and clean-up for catering events, resident home meal delivery, and service in servery areas, with responsibilities such as bussing, stocking, sanitizing, and following sanitation guidelines. Requires maintaining presence in dining areas, monitoring resident/guest needs, communicating with supervisors and kitchen staff, and supporting teamwork. Emphasis is on customer service, geriatric care philosophy, adherence to food safety procedures, and ability to multi-task in a high-volume dining environment. Education and experience requirements include a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and 5–8 years in the Food Service industry (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Five to eight years’ experience in Food Service industry preferred
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in reading, writing, and following written and verbal directions
- Uphold the utmost attention to the cleanliness and detail towards sanitation in food service
- Aptitude to know when to refer problems to supervisor
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage high-volume dish washing
