Job Summary
Conduct food preparation, serve meals to residents per diet orders, and manage cleanup while maintaining a clean, sanitary work area. Operate kitchen equipment safely, ensure proper inventory rotation, and complete opening and closing duties. Respond to resident requests and promptly notify supervisors of health changes or complaints. Partner effectively with team members in a demanding environment and assist with special functions as directed. Works part-time 4:00pm–7:00pm on various weekdays, every other weekend, and rotating holidays at Ecumen Lakeview Commons in Maplewood, Minnesota.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Commercial kitchen experience
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Previous senior care experience
- Serv Safe or other food safety and sanitation training/certification
