Job Summary
Serve meals to residents per diet order and portion size, maintain a clean, sanitary, and efficiently organized work area, and ensure all products are labeled, dated, and rotated. Operate kitchen equipment safely, complete opening and closing duties, and respond to resident requests or concerns while promptly notifying supervisors of health changes. Provide exemplary service to residents, families, and guests, partnering effectively with team members in a demanding environment. Perform other duties as assigned and assist with special functions. Work part-time shifts from 8:00am to 2:30pm, rotating through weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Commercial kitchen experience
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Previous senior care experience
- Serv Safe or other food safety and sanitation training/certification
