Job Summary
Serve meals to residents per diet order and portion size while maintaining a clean, sanitary, and efficiently organized work area. Provide exemplary service to residents, families, and guests, ensuring all feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous care. Complete opening and closing duties, including routine daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities, and operate all equipment specific to duties in a safe manner. Notify supervisors of any changes in residents' personal health or respond to resident requests and concerns promptly. Partner effectively with team members in a demanding environment and assist with special functions as directed. Work on-call or casual shifts, including weekend requirements and holiday coverage, while adhering to all safety rules and facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Work a minimum of 4 shifts/month (two of the shifts must be on a weekend)
- Must work 2 holidays/year
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Commercial kitchen experience
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Previous senior care experience
- Serv Safe or other food safety and sanitation training/certification
