Job Summary
Oversee daily service operations in a large residential dining facility, serve as manager-on-duty during assigned shifts, direct floor coordination between kitchen and service staff, mentor and evaluate a varied team (full-time, part-time, student, and temporary), ensure food safety and sanitation compliance, monitor inventory and costs, and drive customer satisfaction in alignment with UHD 5-Star standards. Lead staff development, coach performance, participate in interviewing/training/scheduling, and collaborate with culinary and campus partners to deliver a high-quality dining experience while maintaining financial controls and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, food and nutrition, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of management experience in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility.
- Experience with operating a standard kitchen.
- Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training required by University Housing and Dining.
- Ability to complete and maintain University Housing and Dining cash handling training.
