Job Summary
Review daily data from measurement and validation systems across in-station, downstream, and end-of-line stages. Conduct regular scheduled reviews with quality responsible parties to ensure concurrence on issues and improvement plans. Develop root cause analysis plans and corrective actions by reviewing statistical data in collaboration with existing project team members. Generate data-driven quality reports while applying statistical process control concepts and mathematical fundamentals to address identified quality issues within the assigned assembly system. Domestic travel is required for majority of time spent onsite at customer manufacturing facilities during active projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- one to five years related experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical process control
- fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- familiar with statistical process control concepts
- capable of generating data driven quality reports
