Dimensional Engineer

Job Summary
Lead dimensional improvements on vehicle geometry through part, tooling, or design actions by analyzing complex sheet metal, exterior, and interior sub-assemblies using measurement systems like CMMs, laser trackers, and In-Line Vision Stations. Perform data analysis to identify top issues and root causes, then work with production personnel and plant quality engineers to implement and validate proposed solutions. Proactively monitor trend charts to drive variation reduction of critical product and process characteristics while interacting with internal and external suppliers to communicate issues and drive resolution. Requires proficiency in NX, Team Center, GD&T, and basic statistics.
Required Qualifications
- GD&T - knowledge about measurement and tolerance
- Team Center = NX System -> how to pull the CAD up, how to cut a section of the part
- Proficient reading measurement data
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Mechanical preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to work with a cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge in basic statistics and process control required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
