Job Summary
Teach technology topics to diverse learners (60+ seniors, teens, adults) using the OATS curriculum, delivering virtual and in-person sessions, creating a supportive learning environment, conducting outreach, data entry in Salesforce, and collaborating with staff. Responsibilities include guiding participants in email use, social media, online banking, and daily tech tasks; recruiting participants as needed; supervising volunteers; and representing OATS and its culture. Requires strong communication, English proficiency, familiarity with Windows/iOS and common tech, and at least 1 year professional experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Locations include NYC area; role involves in-person training with potential virtual components.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent speaking and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English
- Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors, preferable
- Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a training team
- Superior time-management skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional work setting
