Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement software solutions within Pratt & Whitney's Center of Excellence for enterprise MES, including integrations with SAP ERP and IIOT technologies. Troubleshoot application problems, resolve system integration issues, and manage the software development lifecycle while bridging gaps between business processes and MES capabilities. Translate customer requirements into solution designs, author technical specifications, and engage with DevOps teams to meet budget, schedule, and deliverable targets. Provide production and end-user support for MES solutions while working with internal customers and external suppliers to architect system solutions. Manage suppliers, schedule resources, and work on multiple projects simultaneously using a gated process, ensuring compliance with RTX policies.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree
- 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Advanced Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree
- 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Technical skills of understanding/interpreting JAVA programming language
- Technical skills of SQL products
- Technical skills of GIThub and JIRA DevOps management
- Technical skills around data analytics and system integration
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with MES disciplines including, but not limited to, process planning and execution
- Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people, explain functional requirements to technical developers
- Quick learner of existing system capabilities and structure
- Prior experience in software development (JAVA, SQL, etc...)
- Detail oriented, analytical and able to trace problems
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with strong follow up skills and ability to craft positive relationships
- Excellent judgment and professional business maturity
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office
- Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
