Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement software solutions within Pratt & Whitney's Center of Excellence for enterprise MES, including integrations with SAP ERP and IIOT technologies. Translate customer requirements into solution designs, author functional specifications, and troubleshoot system compatibility issues while managing the software development lifecycle. Engage with DevOps teams, internal customers, and external suppliers to architect system solutions and manage project resources across multiple initiatives. Provide production and end-user support for MES solutions, ensuring compliance with RTX policies and meeting budget, deliverable, and schedule targets. Work with business teams to plan enhancements and maintain regular reporting in a gated process, supporting the transition to next-gen solutions across manufacturing, assembly, and MRO value streams.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree
- 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related field
- OR an Advanced Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree and 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Skills around system testing and coordination
- Skills to support process mapping and solution design
- Skills with navigating and operating in an Agile methodology
- Skills with JIRA in support of DevOps management
- U.S. Citizenship is required (required due to Government contractual requirements)
- 10% domestic/international travel
- Customer meetings outside normal business work hours
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with MES disciplines including, but not limited to, process planning and execution
- Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people, explain functional requirements to technical developers
- Quick learner of existing system capabilities and structure
- Prior experience in software development (JAVA, SQL, etc...)
- Detail oriented, analytical and able to trace problems
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with strong follow up skills and ability to craft positive relationships
- Excellent judgment and professional business maturity
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office
- Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
