Job Summary
The Digital Technologies Technical Specialist collaborates with manufacturers to enhance operational performance through digital and smart manufacturing technologies. Key responsibilities include providing consultation on digital transformation strategies, managing project engagements to assess technology gaps, and developing roadmaps for implementing digital solutions. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or digital technologies are required, along with a strong understanding of Industry 4.0 solutions and data analytics. This role also involves leading pilot implementations and integrating advanced technologies to improve productivity and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, automation engineering, industrial engineering, or digital manufacturing technologies
- Experience implementing or supporting digital manufacturing technologies such as Industrial IoT, machine monitoring, MES, ERP/MRP systems, robotics, or automation systems
- Experience evaluating or implementing smart manufacturing or Industry 4.0 solutions within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with data analytics, manufacturing dashboards, or operational data systems used to improve manufacturing performance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience consulting with manufacturers or leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
- Experience working with small and mid-sized manufacturers
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have good computer skills and be a strong written and verbal communicator.
- Position requires a combination of virtual work and regular travel with occasional extended travel to remote facilities.
- This position has a lifting requirement of up to 70 pounds.
