Job Summary
Control optical manufacturing equipment to block, generate, polish, add backside coating, and laser lenses to the designated curve on the concave side. Learn to run all machines within your designated area, change and install Filter Tech rolls with a partner, and address equipment errors and alarms on the automated surface line that do not require tools. Understand the Julian Day Number (JND) system to prioritize "HOT" or "PRIORITY JOBS" and keep workflow steady by transporting trays and cleaning your work area. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 1:00am with an on-the-job training program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours
- Must learn how to run all machines within your designated area
- Be able to address any equipment errors and alarms on the automated surface line, which do not require a tool to repair
- Understand the order of the lab production, the Julian Day Number (JND) system and which jobs are considered HOT, or PRIORITY JOBS that should be completed first
Desired Qualifications
- Optical lab or mass manufacturing experience
