Job Summary
Digital Signal Processing Engineer responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing RF/optical payloads and software-defined radios for space and ground segments. Lead technical teams through the payload development cycle, perform DSP algorithm design, simulations, hardware trade studies, and cost analyses; contribute to modeling and analysis of space RF/optical systems for communications, remote sensing, ISR&T, and EW missions; requires BS/MS in EE, 5+ years DSP experience, and ability to obtain security clearances; flexible hours for spacecraft testing and travel to locations; work for NASA/DoD space missions; potential for leadership across concepts, prototypes, flight development, integration, and test.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years direct experience in digital signal processing for RF or optical systems or payload design, development, simulation, and test
- Experience in wireless modem or receiver design and/or testing
- Willing and able to accommodate flexible hours for spacecraft level testing activities and travel to customer or sponsor locations as well as spacecraft integration and test sites
- Eligibility for interim Top-Secret clearance and ability to ultimately obtain TS/SCI+poly level clearance; U.S. citizenship required
