Digital Signal Processing Engineer (DSP) Internship

Job Summary
Develop and optimize DSP algorithms for EEG and fNIRS signals, including filtering, artifact removal, and feature extraction. Build real-time signal-processing pipelines for wearable or mobile neurotech systems and analyze neural datasets to prototype cognitive state models. Implement ML/statistical models for prediction or classification while working closely with hardware, software, and neuroscience teams. Rapidly prototype in Python or MATLAB and support experiments, data collection, and validation. This internship is with Nirvesh Enterprises, a neurotechnology startup building next-generation brain-sensing solutions for real-world applications.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on EEG and/or fNIRS processing experience
- Strong DSP fundamentals (ICA/CCA, filtering, spectral analysis, wavelets, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB
- Experience with ML for time-series/physiological signals
- Comfort working in fast-moving, evolving startup environments
