Job Summary
DSP Software Engineer responsibilities include design, implementation, testing, and integration of software containing DSP algorithms; development of software applications; documenting and communicating technical research results to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will have coursework or experience with software design, C/C++, signal processing algorithms, GPUs, MATLAB, Python, Linux, and Git. A Top Secret with SCI security clearance is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s/Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, additional DSP/FPGA experience, and experience with modern modulations and distributed version control.{
Required Qualifications
- ABET (EAC/CAC) accredited Bachelor of Science in EE or CE strongly preferred
- equivalent Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 3+ years related experience
- coursework in signal processing and software
- high level of self-initiative and self-motivation
- ability to work in small team settings
- Experience with C/C++
- Experience with MATLAB
- Knowledge of stochastic signal processing and digital communications
- excellent organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication
- exceptional problem-solving skills
- familiarity with Python and/or other programming languages
- familiarity with Linux and development tools
- familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/Clearcase/Bitbucket
- Minimum three (3) years of experience
- Must have Top Secret with SCI security clearance
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (preferred)
- Five (5) years of experience (preferred)
- Experience with DSP algorithms implementation in Software and FPGAs (preferred)
- Experience with GPUs for high performance signal processing (preferred)
- Experience with modern modulations (FSK, OFDM, QAM) (preferred)
- Experience with distributed version control systems and CI (git) (preferred)
