Digital Project Controls Engineer - Bristol & Cardiff

Job Summary
Assess client environments and challenges to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose Digital Controls solutions that enable desired outcomes. Support the implementation of our Digital Controls platform to optimise project controls operating models while deploying established P3M methodologies tailored to specific circumstances. Produce reports and deliver workshops in virtual and face-to-face settings to present data insights and drive action across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. Gather, process, and analyse data from various sources to support construction project management decisions, ensuring data integrity through regular quality checks and governance practices.
Required Qualifications
- Gather, process, and analyse data from various sources to support construction project management and decision-making
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills and techniques to effectively transform unstructured data and present it back in an informative fashion
- Apply knowledge of data cleansing, Exact, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, database design, application, and visualization tools
- Engage with clients to gather requirements and present findings in a clear and compelling way
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, and present data insights to stakeholders and internal teams
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing regular data quality checks and implementing data governance practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide training and support to end-users on new reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools
- Support the running of workshops with stakeholders, defining business processes, products and service improvements, project managing the roll-out of products/processes/services and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for continuous quality improvement exercises
- Possess an analytical mindset
- Being a confident data manipulator and presenter
- Literacy in office productivity software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office and Teams or similar) and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucid Chart or Draw
- Degree or qualification in a relevant discipline with some experience in a project control environment
- Possess an analytical mindset; being a confident data manipulator and presenter (SQL, Power Query/ Power BI, Tableau, Qlik etc. advantageous)
- Familiarity with coding and the principles of modern computer system architecture would be advantageous

- Advantageous qualifications in Association of Project Managers (APM) Digital Project Controls, Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar certification
