Job Summary
Digital Product Owner for the Wells Digital Platform on Chevron ENGINE Wells team based in Bengaluru. Responsibilities include delivering the highest priority objectives for the digital portfolio each quarter, updating the product roadmap, contributing to vision and strategy, coordinating sprint planning, elaborating features and user stories, prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog to maximize business value, and partnering with global customers and IT resources to ensure integration and operational capabilities. The role requires experience with Agile practices (Scrum/SAFe), backlog tools (Jira, Azure DevOps), and familiarity with SQL databases and API integrations, along with an understanding of well construction workflows and digital solutions in the oil and gas industry. The position emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and delivering valuable outcomes aligned with the Wells functional vision, while supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and deployment enhancements as needed. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with minimum CGPA 7.5 and above
- Minimum 5 total years of work experience in Oil and Gas Industry specializing in Drilling, Completions, or Workovers
- 3 years of experience in related fields such as Applications Support and Business Analysis
- 1 year of field-related experience in Drilling, Completions, or Workovers
- Knowledge of Scrum or SAFe; Eliciting and articulating requirements into backlog items
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile principles
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar backlog management systems
- Proficiency with software tools and digital applications used on rig/frac sites
- Strong digital awareness and ability to leverage technology to solve problems
- Clear communication and collaboration skills
