Digital Print Technician

Job Summary
Review customer-supplied artwork and verify file integrity, resolution, and color accuracy before production. Process files through Onyx RIP software and operate wide-format UV flatbed printing and precision cutting systems like Kongsberg. Perform color management using ICC profiles, select appropriate substrates, and conduct quality control inspections throughout the workflow. Collaborate with customers and sales teams to resolve artwork and scheduling issues while troubleshooting print, software, and equipment problems. Maintain production records, perform routine equipment maintenance, and follow safety procedures to meet established deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital print production, wide-format printing, or a related field
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using RIP software
- Strong understanding of: Print resolution and image quality standards
- Strong understanding of: Color theory, color management, and ICC profiles
- Strong understanding of: Digital print workflows and production processes
- Strong understanding of: Various print substrates and material applications
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Experience operating wide-format digital print equipment and finishing systems
- Experience with precision cutting tables such as Kongsberg or similar equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams
