Job Summary

Digital Platforms Specialist will develop and implement content across INDYCAR’s digital platforms and experiences (email marketing, INDYCAR App, INDYCAR.com, INDYNXT.com). Responsible for coordinating, creating, and publishing digital assets/content, planning a robust content calendar, auditing platforms for accuracy, and ensuring content aligns with brand goals. Collaborates with marketing, design, and digital teams; supports the INDYCAR social media team during race weekends; works with the editorial team on content design (including video embeds and article layouts); ensures email marketing compliance; tests and optimizes campaigns (deliverability, open rates, CTRs) and uses A/B testing to improve engagement; stays current on industry best practices; monitors analytics to drive improvements in user engagement and conversions; publishes updates to INDYCAR.com and INDYNXT.com; coordinates with internal teams for ads/creative/content; travels to INDYCAR events as needed; enthusiastic team player with passion for motorsports and familiarity with INDYCAR events. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, the role requires managing multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining high integrity and confidentiality while aligning with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in digital content coordination and development, preferably within sports/entertainment
  • proven experience in email marketing within sports/entertainment
  • familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO tools, and social media management tools
  • ability to collaborate with design and development teams to implement website updates and enhancements
  • proficiency in email marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Adobe Marketo, Oracle Eloqua)
  • strong understanding of segmentation, targeting, and personalization in email campaigns
  • solid grasp of HTML and CSS for email template customization
  • experience with Adobe Creative Suite – image authoring and video editing preferred
  • analytical skills to interpret performance metrics and optimize campaigns
  • creative mindset for visually appealing email content
  • familiarity with marketing automation and CRM systems
  • knowledge of email marketing compliance practices
