Job Summary
Digital News Content Producer drives real-time, multi-platform coverage by gathering, verifying, packaging, and publishing content for web, app, social, and streaming. Duties include publishing and updating breaking news with strong headlines and SEO, clipping and packaging video for digital platforms, writing push alerts, coordinating urgent coverage across platforms, monitoring scanners and sources, engaging audiences, producing/editing vertical videos, maintaining publishing standards, collaborating with producers/reporters/photographers to plan coverage and execute live/event coverage, and training to operate the newsroom streaming live digital desk. An ideal candidate will be comfortable being live on camera, presenting scripted and unscripted information during breaking news.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to verify information and avoid amplification of rumors/misinformation
- Basic video editing/clipping skills (e.g., Premiere, CapCut, ENPS/Edius workflows, or similar)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights/weekends/holidays as news requires
