Job Summary
Own the end-to-end email marketing program for Berkeley Rep, including strategic planning, segmentation using Tessitura, lifecycle email automation (post-purchase flows, onboarding, reactivation, loyalty programs), and performance analysis. Write on-brand email and social copy, maintain an engaging monthly newsletter, and ensure regulatory compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA). Manage day-to-day operations in WordFly and Tessitura, reconcile data, monitor deliverability, and integrate email data with the CRM. Develop and execute a robust social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn), track performance with GA4, and translate insights into actionable strategy. Collaborate across departments to support season renewal, acquisition, and donor communications; stay current on industry trends and deliverability. This role drives ticket sales and audience loyalty through sophisticated segmentation, automated campaigns, and data-driven optimization.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of digital marketing experience with specialization in email marketing
- Expert proficiency in email marketing platforms including WordFly, Mailchimp, Prospect2, or Constant Contact
- Advanced experience with Tessitura CRM or comparable nonprofit performing arts CRM
- Proven track record of developing and optimizing email programs that drive revenue and engagement
- Strong analytical skills with GA4 and email performance reporting
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven campaign optimization
- Working knowledge of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA compliance
