Job Summary
Digital Marketing Coordinator to support and execute digital strategies for The Salvation Army Canada in a Canada Summer Jobs program. Responsibilities include coordinating social media scheduling and engagement; creating written, photo, and video content for social channels; reporting on content performance; maintaining website content via CMS updates with on-site SEO; collaborating with marketing and communications teams on daily digital projects; researching competitor activity and industry trends; analyzing digital data to inform campaign effectiveness; applying digital marketing tactics to achieve organizational objectives; aligning work with the Salvation Army’s mission and policies. Requires a 2- to 3-year college diploma or university degree in digital marketing or related field (or actively pursuing), at least one year of related experience, proficiency with Facebook/Instagram/YouTube/TikTok, WordPress, Sprout Social, and strong storytelling across channels. This is a Canada Summer Jobs position with age eligibility between 15 and 30, Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status, and legal ability to work in Canada. Compensation ranges from $17.60 to $25.23 CAD per hour, subject to market conditions and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a 2- to 3-year college diploma or university degree in digital marketing or related discipline, or actively working towards completion
- Minimum one year of related digital/social media/marketing experience in an organizational setting
- Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok; strong storytelling across digital channels
- Experience with Microsoft Office, WordPress, Sprout Social
- Ability to adapt to new digital platforms and applications
- Canadian eligibility for Canada Summer Jobs (15-30 years of age) and ability to legally work in Canada
- Interest in nonprofit sector advantageous
