Job Summary

Design and implement the library's information, media, and digital literacy curriculum, integrating AI ethics and digital citizenship across academic disciplines. Co-design lesson plans with faculty, teach general and discipline-specific classes, and conduct outreach to embed digital skills systematically throughout the school. Lead campus-wide initiatives on responsible AI use, collaborate with technology leaders and deans, and create research guides and instructional resources using LibGuides and Canvas. Provide service desk support and supervise students, including evening shifts until 9:50 p.m. and weekend coverage. Work with archival staff to highlight digital collections and contribute to strategic planning for library programs and collections.

Required Qualifications

Masters in Library/Information Sciences from an ALA-accredited institution
Customer service and outreach experience
At least 2 years of demonstrated experience teaching information, media, and digital literacy in an academic or school library setting
Formal training and/or experience with the design and delivery of instruction
Strong knowledge about the use of AI in libraries and research, digital content, electronic resources, ebooks, publishing trends, and library technology
Demonstrated interest in critical thinking about the use of AI tools and its impacts on the research and learning process
Demonstrated ability to continuously learn new skills, technologies, and methods and to apply those to your work
Ability to work effectively with a diverse population including young people (teenagers) and adults from diverse cultures
Must be able to remain on their feet for extended periods of time, go up and down flights of steps, as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift
Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. without assistance
