Job Summary
Design and implement digital literacy lessons tailored for ESL learners, covering fundamental skills like typing, internet navigation, and file organization. Guide students in email communication, online safety, and cybersecurity best practices while providing hands-on instruction in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Incorporate the NorthStar Digital Literacy Curriculum, prepare assessments, and proctor tests. Offer individualized and group instruction to diverse proficiency levels, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback. Support learners in job applications, resume writing, and online job searches using interactive methods that integrate language development. Collaborate with colleagues and community organizations to enhance learning opportunities. Full-time role at 36 hours/week onsite, split shift available Monday-Thursday and Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Prior computer literacy teaching experience
- Experience working with ELL or diverse populations
- Experience using tools such as, but not limited to educational software, remote/online learning platforms, and other technology
