Job Summary
Digital HP Indigo Press Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing equipment to produce high-quality labels and packaging per customer specifications. Responsibilities include loading substrates, configuring files, calibrating color profiles, monitoring color quality and registration, performing routine color calibration, conducting regular quality checks, troubleshooting defects or equipment issues, performing press maintenance, adhering to safety procedures, and collaborating with production supervisors, prepress, and finishing teams to ensure on-time delivery. Requires experience with digital printing equipment and knowledge of substrates used in pressure-sensitive labels and flexible packaging, strong attention to detail, ability to read job tickets and production schedules, and familiarity with color management and RIP software. The role involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating digital printing equipment (HP Indigo, Xeikon, Domino, Durst, or similar)
- Knowledge of substrates used in pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, or specialty packaging
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent color accuracy and print quality
- Ability to read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production schedules
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with digital front-end (DFE) systems, color management, and RIP software (preferred)
