Job Summary
Design end-to-end digital hosting architectures for global business requirements, covering cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Evaluate and guide selection of hosting technologies, platforms, and vendors while developing technical standards, guidelines, and design patterns. Oversee architecture alignment during implementation of physical servers, storage platforms, SAN, NAS, and cloud services. Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Lead capacity planning, performance optimization, lifecycle planning, and health assessments for infrastructure. Provide expert guidance for troubleshooting complex technical issues and mentor domain engineers on architectural principles and operational best practices. Prepare documentation and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences while staying current with industry trends in automation and hybrid hosting. Drive strategic initiatives focused on modernization, reliability, and cost optimization through cross-functional collaboration with business, IT, operations, and vendor organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in enterprise IT infrastructure, with at least three years of focused experience in hosting architecture
- Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware or comparable enterprise virtualization platforms
- Experience with enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, archiving, and cloud storage services
- Understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure, including hybrid architecture patterns and integration approaches
- Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts related to hosting services, application connectivity, resiliency, and performance
- Demonstrated ability to design solutions for large scale enterprise environments
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead cross functional technical initiatives and manage vendor relationships effectively
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
- VMware VCP, or comparable infrastructure certifications
- Experience supporting global, highly available, mission critical hosting environments
- Experience driving infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, cost optimization, and operational excellence initiatives
