Job Summary

Digital Forensics Senior Associate in JPMorgan Chase’s CTC Cybersecurity Operations role focusing on protecting digital assets through advanced forensic analysis. Responsibilities include using digital forensic tools to support investigations, conducting in-depth analyses of potential breaches, preparing investigation reports, and developing in-house training. Collaborates with Legal, Technology, and HR to support incident response and regulatory proceedings; innovates forensic research projects to stay ahead of emerging technologies; conducts live investigations of digital artifacts, network data, and logs; partners with cybersecurity operations teams to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation; assesses the firm’s digital forensics risk and control environment and contributes to remediation plans; aims to improve forensic techniques across teams and leverages threat intelligence. Required qualifications include 3+ years in digital forensics or related roles, scripting automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell), detailed analysis of artifacts, network traffic and logs, and knowledge of e-discovery and threat intelligence. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with live forensics, cloud incident response, and certifications (e.g., CCE, CFCE, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GCFA, GCFR) among others. This role is based in Jersey City, NJ, USA.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years in digital forensics, cybersecurity operations, or similar role
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and data analysis
  • Experience in detailed analysis of digital artifacts, network traffic, and logs to identify malicious activity or user behavior
  • Developing knowledge of e-discovery processes, incident response, and utilizing threat intelligence
  • Preferred qualifications include proven track record in live digital forensics, log-file analysis, network forensics, and cloud incident response; experience with X-Ways, Surge, EDR, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure; industry-standard information security certifications (CCE, CFCE, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GCFR, etc.) are a plus
