Job Summary

Junior Digital Forensics Analyst to support digital investigations, incident response, evidence collection, and forensic analysis across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. Responsibilities include identifying, preserving, acquiring, and analyzing electronic information (ESI), collecting and analyzing digital evidence from computers, mobile devices, and cloud systems; supporting investigations of cyber incidents, insider threats, malware infections, and policy violations; participating in containment and recovery efforts; managing complex forensics examinations; maintaining chain-of-custody; analyzing logs, artifacts, and network activity for indicators of compromise; preparing forensic reports and presenting findings; collaborating with IT, legal, compliance, and security teams; and staying proficient with digital forensics tools and trends. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, familiarity with Windows/Linux/macOS, networking fundamentals, strong analytical skills, and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Volatility, Wireshark), SIEM knowledge, and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+). To grow in cybersecurity and digital forensics, this role emphasizes investigations, evidence handling, and cross-team collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic understanding of digital forensics and cybersecurity principles
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, file systems, and system logs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
