Job Summary
Operate finishing and bindery equipment including routers, CNC machines, Zund units, and laminators to complete orders according to established procedures. Set up and adjust machines, cut products to final dimensions, and monitor output quality while collecting data for job tracking. Perform basic and preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain a clean, clutter-free workplace adhering to 5s standards. Collaborate with the Production Manager to address process improvements and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Various shifts available including 3rd shift (11:30 pm - 8:00 am) and 1st shift options.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- four years relevant industry experience
- experience as an Imagine temporary employee
- manager approval to hire full-time
- Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color
- Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Basic measuring skills including Standard and Metric units
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Frequent walking and standing
- Manual dexterity for repetitive work
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
- Work overtime as needed
- Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
- A positive attitude including high energy, and a drive to contribute and make an impact
- Able to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to operate a CNC machine and Router equipment
- Ability to operate a CNC machine and Router equipment according to established procedures
- Ability to set up adjust and operate a Router according to established procedures
- Ability to complete equipment standard set up and adjustments as needed
- Ability to cut product to final size/shape by operating finishing equipment
- Ability to monitor output quality, including data collection for job tracking, and report issues as appropriate
- Ability to meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance to finishing equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Router and CNC equipment
- Ability to contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements
- Ability to collaborate with Production Manager and other Team Members to address opportunities for improvement
- Ability to maintain a 5s throughout the Digital area
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous CNC operation, digital finishing, router, print production, and or bindery experience
- Previous experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution, and/or fulfillment
- Experience using an ERP system
