Job Summary
Manage all incoming digital channel requests for new accounts, consumer loans, and member onboarding through online, phone, and chat interactions. Conduct thorough member interviews to identify borrowing needs, educate clients on loan products and requirements, and collect supporting documentation to ensure applications are decision-ready. Deliver highly consultative sales experiences by recommending tailored financial solutions, cross-selling relevant products, and partnering with processing and underwriting teams for seamless handoffs. Communicate loan decisions clearly, including denials with empathy, while consistently meeting production goals for application volume, funded loans, and cross-sell targets. Maintain expert knowledge of credit union lending policies, products, and compliance regulations including BSA/AML and Fair Lending requirements. Support organizational growth through member outreach campaigns, book of business reviews, and business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Sales, relationship building, and member service experience
- Minimum of two years lending and loan origination background
- Experience opening and servicing deposit accounts, including specialty accounts
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training/experience
- Thorough knowledge of consumer lending principles, lending regulations, underwriting considerations, and credit union lending policies and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of lending and deposit products and credit union lending policies
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk and hear
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch
