Job Summary
Digital Editor for television and entertainment content in French, working in a hybrid telework/office setup. Responsible for brainstorming and producing highly discoverable digital content to promote television programming, crafting compelling French copy and headlines for digital audiences, conducting on-set interviews, writing and producing content for the Radio-Canada website, editing photos, clipping show highlights, and contributing to the editorial calendar. Collaborates with Productions, Content Marketing, Programming, Marketing & Communications and Promotion teams; stays ahead of platform-specific trends; analyzes performance metrics to refine content strategies; safeguards the brand’s interests; proficient in video processing, SEO, French writing, and Adobe Express; flexible to varying production schedules; undergoes testing and background checks as part of recruitment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, literature or a related field
- Minimum three years’ experience working in a cultural, media or entertainment environment
- Strong French writing skills and excellent command of written French
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices for digital content
- Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively
- Independent, proactive mindset
- Superior organizational and time-management skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, as hours may vary depending on production assignments
- Ability to quickly become proficient in software relevant to your job focus
- Travel to production sets to conduct engaging, professional interviews with cast, crew and creators
- Experience creating digital content for the entertainment industry
