Job Summary
Vice President Area Data Owner leading data strategy and governance for governing data created, provisioned, or consumed across key business applications. Oversees data quality, safety, and lifecycle, defines data content requirements, and partners with technology and business teams to deliver data supports operations, analytics, and AI/ML use cases. Builds and grooms the backlog for data delivery teams, develops AI-ready data products, and ensures compliance with firm policies and standards while managing direct or matrixed staff. Requires expertise in data technologies (analytics, BI, data analysis, ML, data warehousing and governance, data quality), risk and control considerations, and strong communication and strategic thinking. Preferred capabilities include data engineering and analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Spark), machine learning (Python, JupyterLab, LLMs), cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks), and metadata management, with a focus on delivering data supporting business operations and AI/ML initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Six years of related data management and platform experience
- Expertise in data technologies including analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, machine learning, data warehousing, data management and governance, data quality
- Experience with risk and control requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good business acumen and strategic thinking
